Wonde asks your school to approve the connection, so nothing is shared until you say yes.

Your student roll arrives in Descant, with each student marked as coming from your school system.

Descant checks for changes every four hours by default, so your roll matches your school system without anyone re-typing it.
Why it matters for NCCD
NCCD evidence has to belong to the right student. With the roll coming straight from your school system, every observation, adjustment and piece of evidence in Descant is attached to the same student record your school already keeps, not a copy someone typed.

No. The Wonde integration is included in the Descant school fee.
Which school systems does it work with?
Wonde connects to the school management systems most Australian schools use, including Sentral, Compass and XUNO. If your school system connects to Wonde, Descant can read your student roll through it.
Does Descant change anything in our school system?
No. Descant only reads from Wonde. Case notes, referrals and NCCD evidence stay in Descant and are never written back to your school system.
How often does it update?
Every four hours by default. It can be set to every 8 or 12 hours, or daily.
What if our school doesn’t use Wonde?
You can add students in Descant yourself. If you connect Wonde later, Descant matches the students you added to your school system’s records using their school student ID.
How is the connection kept secure?
The access key Wonde gives us is stored encrypted, and your school can withdraw its approval in Wonde at any time.
